Frequently Asked Questions

Your Training Plan outlines the units of competency that you will be undertaking during your enrolment with Outsource Institute.  It will specify the delivery model you have chosen (i.e. online/distance/classroom based), unit start and end dates and other details specific to your enrolment.

It is a compliance requirement that we obtain a signed copy of your Training Plan within the first 3 months of your enrolment

Once enrolled, your E-Learning account will be activated and you will be able to access the assessment materials for the relevant course you are undertaking. You will be sent instructions from our Operations department on how you can access our E-Learning platform.

Yes, Outsource Institute offers our clients the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning accross all of our courses.

Outsource Institute have “off-the-shelf” options for all of our qualifications. In the event that our generic training plan does not suit your desired career path, we can work with you to develop a training plan that better suits your individual career development, or the overall succession planning of the company.

Note: We abide by Training Packaging rules set by the Australian Government and in some cases we are unable to embed all desired units into a training plan as there may be prerequisite requirements for specific units chosen. If applicable, please discuss this further with your Training and Development Specialist.

Funding is availaible for selected courses.  Your Training and Development Specialist at Outsource Institute will ensure they complete eligibility checks for funding options.

Outsource Institute has flexible payment methods including payment plans, paying in installments, and a 6-month interest free payment plan where payments can be made weekly/fortnightly/monthly.

Your Training and Development Specialist will advise of the course cost upon enquiry.

We deliver the Welding Supervisors Program for both the AS 1796-2001 Pressure Vessels and AS 2214-2004 Structural Steel.

Outsource Institute will customise the training plan to suit the specific requirements of mining compliances.

Once your final unit of competency has been deemed competent by your Trainer & Assessor, your file will go through the completion process to ensure all required documentation and payments have been received. It will issued within 30 days of these final checks being completed.

Nearly all qualifications/courses offered by Outsource Institute are Nationally Recognised. Upon successful completion of all required units within your course or qualification, a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment or Certificate will be issued.

Note: The only time you will not be issued with an accredited outcome is if you undertake training with a non-accredited outcome, meaning that you attend a course and do not complete/meet the prerequisite requirements and therefore are unable to receive accreditation and are issued a Statement of Attendance.

The Certificate of Proficiency is issued through your State Training Authority. Once you have successfully completed the qualification through Outsource Institute, you will be required to fill out a completion form and submit this to your Apprenticeship Centre along with a copy of your qualification. Your assigned Apprenticeship Centre will then submit this on your behalf to your State Training Authority for the issuance of your Certificate of Proficiency.

A copy of your qualification or Statement of Attainment can be emailed to you upon request.

Note: This will be black and white and copy stamped.

The selected qualification or course you wish to undertake will determine the duration. Outsource Institute offer courses from a minimum of four (4) hours to a maximum of four (4) years.

The maximum duration of the Certificate IV in Engineering is four (4) years, however, completion of this qualification can be achieved in a shorter time period and will depend on the progression and competency level of each individual.

Outsource Institute is an on-site training provider. This means that we come to you to deliver the required gap training.  We also offer online and distance based training.

The frequency of training visits will depend on the requirements of each unit. This will be discussed and decided upon with your Training and Development Specialist or Trainer & Assessor.
