This qualification has been designed for tradespersons who have previously completed an engineering qualification and are wishing to study at a higher level. The course has been specifically developed to the metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries and covers subjects such as the interpretation of technical drawings, specifications and engineering information as well as the use of related computer technology. You will acquire advanced industry-specific skills in welding which allows you to be employed as an Advanced Engineering Tradesperson – Level II.

- Please note the packaging rules: The minimum requirements for achievement of the Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade are: completion of all of the Core units of competency listed, and completion of Specialisation units from the Group A to a maximum value of 100 points, and completion of units up to the value of 12 points from the Group B and completion of units from the Group C to bring the total value of units from Groups A, B and C to at least 117 points.
